Born on 10th September 1990 in Lisbon, André Almeida split his youth formation between Sporting and Alverca. When he reached the senior level, he excelled in Belenenses and was then hired by Benfica in April 2011. For Benfica he won 5 National Championships, 2 Portuguese Cups, and 4 League Cups.
